A native of Las Vegas, Julia had the opportunity to work in the dining rooms of some of the world’s finest restaurant companies, including PF Changs, Wolfgang Puck, and Flemings Steak House. Next she helped open the incredibly successful Tao as a bartender and the grand award-winning Restaurant Guy Savoy as the assistant sommelier. She was then recruited to be the beverage director at Fiamma in the MGM Grand.
Upon moving to the Napa Valley, she accepted a position in the dining room at the French Laundry where her hard work and attention to detail earned her the beverage manager position at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc. That lead to an opportunity to be part of the hospitality team at Harlan and BOND Estates where she spent two years working for her mentor Paul Roberts, MS.
